Open for Celebration

Open for Celebration was created for Ridgeview, the world-class Sussex winery which has been creating stunning sparkling wines since 1995.

Launched during English Wine Week, the campaign was designed to celebrate the gradual opening up as the UK emerged from lockdown.

As lockdown was easing, Ridgeview wanted to make the world a more joyful and celebratory place. These videos were designed for paid social, and were also produced in co-branded versions with Waitrose.

The tagline came first, nicely freighted with dual meanings, before I started workshopping possible sparkling wine drinking personas. Eventually the four were decided. Storyboarding worked out the basic moves, but once casting started I realised that I already knew who I'd actually written one of the parts for - The Perfectionist could only be played by Sommelier Rudina Arapi.

Produced with the fabulous team at Other Brother Studios, this project was fun from start to finish.
